Tip 12 - How to get the success habit
Probably the best set of habits for success are those described by Stephen Covey in his book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. A summary of these appears later on.
Most of life is habitual. We do many of the same things we did yesterday, the day before and probably every day for as long as we can remember. It’s estimated that out of every 11,000 signals we receive from our senses, our brain only consciously processes 40; that leaves 10,960 potential habits.
Of course there are good habits and bad habits and most habits arrive without really thinking about them. So how do you go about consciously developing new good habits and getting rid of old bad habits?
Here’s a way to re-engineer many aspects of your life... <click here> to read the complete version.

Quote of the week:
“Our character is basically a composite of our habits. Because they are consistent, often unconscious patterns, they constantly, daily, express our character.”
Stephen Covey

Mastering the power of Negative Thinking.
We are the masters of our own misery. Here are the habits we must develop to ensure the maximum amount of gloom.
1. BLAME EVERYONE AND ANYTHING BUT YOURSELF: Constantly blame others and situations for the way you feel or act. You know you are not in control. You are just an innocent bystander. "Life is not simple. We don't control the future. You are just an observer of your own fate." - Rolando Tinio
2. BEGIN WITH NO END IN MIND: Ensure that you wander aimlessly around and have no clear direction in life or business. You may know it’s important to get somewhere, but if you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.
3. PUT FIRST THINGS LAST: Or in any order really, a random scatter gun approach will enable you to remain confused about what is urgent and important: a sure fire way to achieve the failure and misery you seek.
4. THINK WIN-LOSE: Make sure you win at any cost. That way you will focus on getting one-up in all situations and can feel more miserable because of all the unhappiness you cause to others.
5. SEEK TO BE UNDERSTOOD: Tell everyone what the truth is and don’t listen to any opposing views. Get your own needs met without consideration for anyone else. Turn off any empathy you may have, this will ensure the maximum amount of ruined relationships in your life.
6. WORK ALONE: ‘The whole is actually only the sum of its parts.’ Don’t waste time trying to work with others. They won’t agree with you anyway. Your ideas are the best and you don’t need anyone else to tell you that.
7. SHARPEN THE SAW: It’s important to have something sharp around the place to defend yourself. You know the world is a hostile place. Keep that saw with you at all times and wave it around menacingly.
